It has been a spectacularly fun summer of tarot reading events and parties, and workshops teaching folks how to read tarot cards. It’s been so extraordinary that I felt I needed to take a minute and reflect and be grateful, and to gather my energy and resources for the changing of the seasons.
What a summer it has been! I’ve done tarot readings at such an amazing variety of events, from one-card readings at Manotick’s Dickinson Days summer festival to corporate events to birthday parties to bridal showers and bachelorette parties to garden parties to anniversary celebrations to quiet gatherings with friends and even a tarot high tea party, complete with fascinators and fancy hats.

I’ve done tarot readings outside on the sidewalk in downtown Ottawa, in a garden bower, from a canopy tent, in a basement bedroom, in a tiny office using a piano bench as a table, in an alcove with a TV silently playing The Price is Right in a corner, and perhaps most spectacularly, on a condo balcony overlooking the sun set across the Ottawa River. I’ve met the most extraordinary people, many of whom have never had a tarot card reading before – they’re always my favourites! I’ve had people confide secrets, stare at me in open-mouthed wonder as skepticism gives way to curiosity, cry, and so very many shared laughs. Perhaps my favourite quote came from someone who hired me to teach a “how to read tarot” session, who said to me, “This was so much fun. I expect you’ll be a recurring character on this timeline!”
My October schedule is already filling up with a tarot luncheon this week and some spook-tacular corporate and private events on the horizon. But the end of Halloween doesn’t mean the end of tarot reading season; tarot reading provides playful, whimsical entertainment for any sort of holiday event or gathering. I can tailor my services to cozy gatherings in your kitchen (perfect for up to 9 people) or your huge corporate event with hundreds of participants, or anything in between. And I’ll always have a special spot in my heart for workshops where everyone learns to read tarot. I even offer a corporate tarot for mindfulness session that you can offer as part of your employee wellness program, where everyone learns how to use tarot for introspection and self-awareness.
I really love this part of my life, and I’m grateful to everyone who was a part of my tarot adventures this summer. And I’m really looking forward to whatever the next set of adventures will bring!
