Would you like to learn how to wrap rocks in person, in an idyllic location with alpacas, goats and a mini horse? I’ll be hosting an in-person rock wrapping workshop next month at Dragonfly Visions, a gorgeous 1840s stone farm house just outside of Perth, Ontario.
Join us for an afternoon of exploring how to wrap rocks. If you haven’t seen rock wrapping before, it’s the gentle art of wrapping small stones and rocks with decorative cord, sometimes with and sometimes without other embellishments like charms, found objects, old keys and rusty nails, sticks and other ephemera. It’s a meditative, forgiving craft that incorporates ideas from macrame, classic knotwork, basketry and other disciplines. It’s easy to learn and you can likely get started with items you already have on hand or are easily sourced inexpensively and often for free.
